Meet Our Founders

Nestled in the mountains of Durango, Colorado, Benny and Valerie Aldrich, along with their dedicated team, share a unified purpose: to create jewelry that embodies harmony, balance, and artistry. Using the finest elements from the earth and sea, each handcrafted piece is designed to be a cherished heirloom, passing from hand to hand as a lasting expression of beauty and love.

The Aldrich signature style of intarsia inlay blends old-world techniques with contemporary craftsmanship, bringing vivid colors to life in striking designs. From rich earth tones to shimmering, iridescent hues, their jewelry captures the essence of nature’s brilliance, evoking images of delicate butterflies and hummingbirds.

Valerie’s exceptional eye for color, combined with Benny’s masterful expertise in gold and silversmithing, results in wearable works of art that are truly one-of-a-kind. As pioneers in the 1970s, they were among the first to incorporate faceted gemstones into Southwestern jewelry and played a key role in reintroducing spiny oyster and purple burro shell to the industry. Their longstanding relationships with miners and gem importers worldwide ensure access to the rare and vibrant materials that define their designs—connections forged over more than 45 years of searching gem and mineral shows.

Thank you for your interest in Aldrich Art. We hope our jewelry becomes a treasured part of your collection, bringing you joy for years to come.
